Delete your ShopIQ account

If you own the household

Go to Settings → Account → Danger zone and choose to delete the household. You will be asked to type the household name to confirm. Export your data first if you want to keep it — the deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

This removes the entire household: every receipt and receipt photo, the pantry, the shopping list, all members, and your own sign-in details.

If you are a member of someone else's household

You cannot remove yourself from inside the app. Ask the household owner to remove you from Settings → Account, which deletes your access and your personal sign-in details — or email us using the address below and we will do it for you.

By email, without opening the app

Write to support@goshopiq.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Account deletion request". We will confirm the request and complete it within 30 days. If you write from a different address we will ask you to verify the account first, so that nobody else can delete your household.

What is deleted

• Your name, email address and stored password.
• Receipts you scanned, including the receipt photos.
• Pantry inventory, shopping list and spending history derived from them.
• Notification subscriptions, so notifications stop.

What may be kept, and for how long

Technical error logs, which record that an error occurred rather than what you bought, are kept only as long as needed to fix problems. Usage analytics already collected are not linked to your receipts or pantry contents and are retained in aggregate. We keep nothing else, and we never sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Deleting less than everything

You do not have to delete the account to remove data. Any receipt can be deleted on its own at any time, and its effects on your pantry are removed with it.
